Reservation & Cancellation Policies

We desire that everyone enjoys their stay with us, so we encourage you to review our guest policies to confirm that we meet your expectations.

Bookings:

​​No refunds for arrivals later than the original check-in date or no-shows.

  • By way of deposit, we charge the first night's accommodation at the time of booking.

  • A deposit of 50% is required for multiple room bookings or long-term stays of 5 nights or more.

  • The maximum stay is 30 days as per city licensing requirements.

We highly recommend that all our guest carry Travel and Medical Insurance to cover any emergencies.  Your reservation assumes release of liability, waiver of claims and assumption of risks and indemnity.  By giving us your credit card information to hold and guarantee your reservation, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by our policies and regulations including our cancellation policy.

Payment Methods

  • We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and China Union Pay.

    • Reserve your room with your credit card details, and if paying by E-Transfer or cash upon arrival, receive an additional 3% discount.  

  • Alternatively, pay with Bitcoin and receive an additional 5% discount.

  • Bitcoin and Interac e-Transfer is available by contacting us directly by phone.

Rates:

  • If there is any conflict in regards to the rate of stay.  The invoice provided on the booking system that the guest booked with will stand as the final rate.  All room rates are based on double occupancy.

  • We do not charge extra for parking or equipment storage.

Taxes:

  • We are required to collect 5% GST and 8% PST taxes.  We are not required to collect the Tourist Tax (MRDT) as we are located in the City of West Kelowna so you save an additional 3% by choosing to stay in West Kelowna. 

Check-in:

  • Check-in is from 3 pm to 10 pm unless arranged otherwise ahead of time.

  • As soon as you arrive in town we encourage you to drop off your luggage.

  • If arriving later than anticipated then please let us know at your earliest convenience.

  • Each guest will be provided with Adela's Bed and Breakfast Policies that you would have already received with your confirmation. 

  • The guest must present a valid credit card and government-issued photo ID upon check and be of legal age.

Check-Out:

  • Check-out no later than 11 am unless arranged ahead of time.

  • The RFID swipe card to your room are to be left with a staff member.  Any swipe cards lost or not returned will result in a $20.00 charge to your credit card.

Pets:

  • We do not own any pets and do not allow pets.  We can recommend a kennel upon request.

Children:

  • No children under 16 years of age.

Cancellation Policies

  • Please consider that as we are a small bed and breakfast, cancellations significantly affect us.

  • Free cancellation when you cancel more than 5 days before your arrival date. 

  • For cancellations 5 days or less from your arrival, you will be charged 50% of the room for each night cancelled and only if we are unable to re-book the room. 

  • Also, If there are any provincial or federal travel "bans" or if the restaurants are "closed" for both indoor and outdoor dining, then you can cancel without incurring any cancellation fees. ​​ 

General Policies

Breakfast:

  • Breakfast is typically served daily typically from 8:00 am to 9:30 am.

  • Special dietary requirements are accommodated when arranged ahead of time.  Jessie can provide vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, and lactose intolerant meals.

  • Breakfast is included free with your stay.  Discounts are not available if you are unable to enjoy the breakfast choices provided or need to leave early.

Quiet Time:

  • Quiet time is from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am.  Please respect other guests and your hosts at Adela's B&B.

Smoking / Cancels:

  • For the comfort and health of our guests our house is entirely smoke-free.  There is no smoking or vaping inside the B&B or on the decks.  You will be charged a $500.00 deep cleaning fee for smoking in our home.

  • Candles, incense burning, or open flame of any kind are not permitted in the rooms due to fire and safety regulations.

Shoes off policy in our home:

  • Please be respectful and remove all footwear (soiled and un-soiled) when entering our home and place them on the mats provided.

  • We will provide hotel slippers upon request, or you can wear your own socks or slippers.

Food and Beverage Consumption:

  • Wine, cheese and snacks are permitted away from the dining areas.  Please be mindful to prevent spill/stains on the carpets.  Accidents happen and if they do please report it to us immediately so we may take care of it before any stains set in.  A charge of up to $250.00 professional cleaning fee will be charged if professional cleaning is required

BBQ:

  • The BBQ is available for the convenience of our guests.  All guest who use the BBQ must:

    • Make arrangements ahead of time to use the BBQ.

    • Never leave the BBQ unattended.​

    • Clean the BBQ after using it.

    • Ensure the BBQ is turned off after use.

Clothes Washer & Dryer:

  • The washer and dryer are for the use of the cleaning staff only.

Personal Belongings:

  • Unless other arrangements have been made with the staff all personal belongings are to be stored in your room and are not to be stored in the common area's.  Each bedroom has a lock and RFID swipe card that will be provided upon check-in.  Each room has a personal safe to store your valuables.

Alcohol / Illegal Substances:

  • Responsible consumption of alcohol is expected from all guests.  Any guests found abusing this privilege will be asked to leave the property immediately forfeiting any refund.

  • Any guest found to be using or under the influence of any illegal substance on the property will be asked to leave immediately forfeiting any refund.

Abuse:

  • We will not tolerate any form of physical or verbal abuse towards guests or staff.  You will be asked to leave the property immediately forfeiting any refund.
